South Semi-Finals

UNCC Women's Rugby has made it to the USA Rugby South Semi Finals.  On March 26-27, four teams in Division II from across the southeast will converge on Mobile, AL to play for a shot at Nationals.

South Semifinals:
Dogwood Conference v. Iris Conference
Elon University v. Lee University
Oak Conference v. Iris Conference #2
UNCCharlotte v. Kennesaw State

South champion and finalist advance to the USA Rugby Division II National Championship Tournament on April 16/17. Champion plays in San Diego, California and finalist plays in Sanford, Florida.

Two years ago, this team consisted of 6 players, and now they are conference champs.  It has beed a lot of hard work, but these ladies are ready to take rugby to the next level.

Our biggest problem is funding to travel.  With the short time we have been in establishment, we have not had a chance to develop lasting outside sponsors.  If you or someone you know is willing to sponsor the team in any way, please check out our sponsorship page, or contact us!  Every dollar counts!
